Flash Sale

If you follow me on Instagram you may have noticed I recently read The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. It is one of those books that takes you a while to get into but then leads you on a hearty adventure. I had to keep my notebook close by because there were just so many juicy nuggets I wanted to remember.

"When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it." ~Paulo Coelho

I decided to create a small collection of mini abstract paintings inspired by my read. I even named the minis using inspiration from the book too; titles like "The True Alchemist" and "Mint Tea for Two". These have already sold out but there are still two cuties left, like the one below titled "The Candy Merchants Daughter" which was a spinoff of a larger work. It's such a fun thing to come up with creative names that compliment my work.

I am really enjoying the freedom that comes with abstract painting. It's all about making brave color choices, taking risks with composition, and infusing emotion in a way that leads collectors on a journey.

"Be brave. Take risks. Nothing can substitute experience."~Paulo Coelho

I only created four minis for the flash sale but it was so fun working small, I'll definitely create more. I'm thinking this might be a great project to work on for my residency coming up soon.

If you see any pieces that you like and are interested in having larger pieces, I am accepting commissions and would be happy to create an original work for your space.

I hope you guys are having a wonderful summer. I sure am enjoying spending time with my best friends in Arkansas and with my family too. You can catch some of our shenanigans on Snapchat if you dare.
